Cycle ride for charity

Cyclists are being sought to take part in the Action 100 bike ride from Bristol and Bath to London on Sunday, August 30.

The event is being organised to help raise funds for medical research projects. The ride challenges cyclists who are prepared to cycle 100 miles for the charity Action Medical Research.

Cyclists have all day to complete the ride and are fully supported, with plenty of refreshment stops, a pub lunch and hot showers and beer at the finish.

All money goes directly to the charity, which has already contributed towards the first UK polio vaccine and the first medical use of ultrasound in pregnancy.

This year the charity aims to recruit 650 cyclists and raise £60,000.
